Human beings carry the baggage of #conditioning more often than we think. This plays out at work too. And can affect both men and women. Conversations like a man can handle this role better than a woman or let us transfer the man because he can relocate more easily than a woman.

There are many instances when both men and women tell a woman that they are not capable of handling something, or leading difficult roles or markets, thus seeding doubts and inferiority complex.

Sometimes, even people managers will try talking women into other positions / veiled demotions and tell them that if they do that role well, they will PROVE themselves for the top position. This is often to keep them out of the race for top positions. To keep them from progressing yet get them delivering stupendous results. Data states that bias in opportunities is also a key cause for lesser women at top levels.

Let this always be known and reiterated that both men and women are equally smart, capable, resilient, and bring complementing abilities to the #workplace. Let the assumptions of capabilities, proving of capabilities, flaw-hunting be fair and equally applicable to men and woman.

Then we can say humanity is making a #sustainable start to #diversity & #inclusivity in the true sense.
