Happy women’s day to all the resilient women here and a big thanks to the men who promote and support diversity !!! May each day be about how we can all nurture diversity for growth of organisations and humanity. May we encourage every one to dream and live their dream, be it men or women.
The statistics of women at work is not very encouraging although many of them want to break barriers and succeed. It is taking longer than it must, across the globe. Deep rooted conditioning and insecurities place more obstacles to women. And worst is a superficial marketing and showcasing of affinity to the cause by some.
Women have to do their part to take professional strides with confidence and purpose and emerge stronger from these obstacles. Never give up. This struggle takes its toll and women tend to neglect themselves or put themselves at last priority as they have to manage many additional responsibilities at home front as well.
If women have to emerge stronger, I would request and recommend them to pay attention to themselves as well for a change. While you beautifully balance work and home, manage your career goals and achieve success, remember to take care of yourself. Always! I say this because women often forget to take care of themselves.
These three little words have the power of empowering you for life and fill you with resilience! TANN, MANN , DHANN.
TANN ( meaning ‘body’ )- your physical wellness matters. Take care of it. The wise said, Health is Wealth. Do not skip meals, rest enough and exercise. You may think this is basic, trust me, a lot of women end up sick due to neglecting their health.
MANN (meaning ‘mind’)- your mental wellness matters. While multitasking and managing career and home, there will be many occasions when everything seems to be falling apart and you may be on the brink of giving up. Managing stress is crucial for you. Can you take 10 minutes a day for yourself to meditate, sit in silence, listen to music, read a book, breath deeply, whatever suits you. Find that 10 minutes everyday to let go of stress.
DHANN (meaning ‘wealth’) – investing your money wisely and timely matters so that it grows well. Often women tend to ignore this aspect and most often due to time constraints or lack of interest in investment details. If you do not have the time or interest, get an advisor to do it for you. Grow your money, know your money and retire rich! Best wishes, may Women’s day 2022 reflect a better data to prove that we are making progress.
